CM KCR visits MGM Hospital in Warangal

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday declared that public health was of paramount importance for the State government and directed all district collectors, superintendents of police and other officials to strictly enforce the lockdown in the State for effectively controlling the spread of Coronavirus. He pointed out that the State government imposed the lockdown notwithstanding the adverse impact on the State revenues.

In a video conference with the district collectors, SPs and other officials from MGM Hospital in Warangal, Chandrashekhar Rao instructed the Civil Supplies officials to complete the paddy procurement within next 10 days before the Vaanakalam season commences. He also announced that the existing Central Prison of Warangal will be shifted from its current location to construct a Mother and Child Care super specialty hospital as well as develop an Open Prison on the lines of Cherlapally Open Prison.

Continuing his efforts to instill confidence among the Covid-19 patients and also take stock of the situation in various government hospitals, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao visited MGM Hospital in Warangal. He examined the Covid treatment being provided at the hospital and assured to the patients to provide the best treatment for their speedy recovery.

Upon his arrival at around 12.45 pm by helicopter, the Chief Minister inspected the Covid-19 wards including the general wards, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), emergency and out-patient wards at MGM



Hospital. 

He directly interacted with the patients who are undergoing treatment, inquired about their health, and food as well as treatment being provided to them at the hospital. He reassured them that all measures will be taken for their well-being. He also gave instructions ot the Health officials to resolve the issues brought to his notice by patients.

The Chief Minister also inspected the oxygen plant installed at the MGM Hospital. He asked the officials to constantly monitor the oxygen and medicine supplies at the hospital to avoid any shortage. He also interacted with the doctors, nurses and other medical staff, and appreciated their services during the Covid crisis without caring for their lives.

Later, he visited the Warangal Central Prison and interacted with the inmates as well as examined the handlooms, handcrafts and other products manufactured by the latter.

Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Satyavathi Rathod, MPs Banda Prakash and Pasunuri Dayakar, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, MLCs Kadium Srihari, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Srinivas Reddy, Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, MLAs Nannapuneni Narender, Aururi Ramesh, Dr T Rajaiah, Satish, Health Secretary SAM Rizvi, CM OSD Gangadhar, Director of Health Srinivasa Rao, Director of Medical Education Ramesh Reddy, Warangal Mayor Gundu Sudharani, Warangal Urban ZP chairperson Sudhir and Warangal Rural chairperson Gandra Jyoti and several leaders from the district were present.
