CM KCR to visit Siddipet today

Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao said that Chandrashekhar Rao will arrive at Duddeda by road where he will lay the foundation for IT Tower close to Rajiv Rahdhari at 10.30 am. The Tower, proposed to be built in 60,000 Sft with an outlay of Rs 45 crore in Duddeda village of Kondapak Mandal in three acres land, will provide employment to over 2,000 local youth. The location is well connected by road and rail.

Harish Rao said the Chief Minister will inaugurate Mittapally Cluster Rythu Vedika which was built by spending Rs 22 lakh. With an objective to provide a platform to the farmers to discuss and deliberate the farmers issues, Rao said that the Chief Minister has decided to build Rythu Vedikas across the State. Similarly, the Siddipet district was divided into 127 farmers’ clusters.

Later, the Chief Minister will inaugurate Government Medical College building. The College was built at a cost of Rs 715 crore in about 3 lakh square feet area. The Medical College has separate hostels for both men and women besides providing accommodation to faculty and staff. The Principal, Superintendent and Nursing Staff will have restrooms. The Medical College, which was inaugurated in 2017, has 500 students now. The Chief Minister will lay a foundation stone for 1000-bed hospital on the same premises during his visit on Thursday.

The Minister said the government has provided all the basic amenities at 2-BHK housing colony at Narsapur where 2,460 houses have been constructed. Since the colony will house about 10,000 people, Rao has said it will have an integrated market, children play area, Basthi Dhwakhana, and other facilities. He further said that



they have named the colony after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as KCR Nagar since the Chief Minister has taken special care in allotting the additional bedroom houses.

Rao said that the building of houses is a continuing process since they wanted to provide houses to all the homeless in Siddipet town. He said that they will also allot funds to help the people build double bedroom houses in their own place. He said that the houses will have piped gas supply, electricity supply, tap connection, house number and other agreements along with the new clothes handed over to 144 beneficiaries on Tuesday evening.

The Finance Minister said that CM Chandrashekar Rao will have a glimpse of Komaticheruvu where they took up a slew of development works with a budget of Rs 9.75 crore. A 240-meter long suspension bridge was built across the Lake besides creating separate cycling and walking tracks. It also has an adventure park.

The Chief Minister will inaugurate the Guest House and Engineering Department office. The Guest House and Engineering Department Office were built on Pallagutta Island, spread in 44.88 acres, amid the Ranganayaka Sagar. Since Chandrashekar Rao did not visit Ranganayaka Sagar, Harish Rao said that he wanted to have a glimpse of the project built as part of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). 
The project, spread over 2,300 acres, has 3.5 TMCft storage capacity.

At the end of his day-long tour, the Chief Minister will address a public meeting at Government Degree College. He will head to Hyderabad from Siddipet at 4 in the evening.
