TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will address a public meeting at LB Stadium on November 28 ahead of the vote for the GHMC election on December 1.  With only a week left, war-making arrangements are being made for the Chief Minister’s meeting, although the entire party cadre was conducting strict opinion polls in all 150 sections of GHMC, TRS acting president and minister KT Rama Rao said on Friday .

Following the release of the GHMC Progress Report of the past six years at Telangana Bhavan here, Rama Rao encouraged the TRS candidates to work continuously for the next ten days and ensure a thumping victory.  ‘We last missed a few seats.  But let’s take the century in this GHMC election, “he said.  He suggested that the TRS candidates first visit the aspirants who competed for party tickets to seek their cooperation and tackle the campaign together.

The acting president of the TRS

asked the candidates to use the GHMC progress report to explain to the people the work that the TRS government has done over the past six years to develop Hyderabad.  “This is our best weapon against our opponents.  We need to explain to the people how our visionary prime minister has overcome several obstacles and ensured that the city is on the growth path, ”he added.

Rama Rao said earlier that the TRS not only speaks words of social justice but proves its commitment through deeds.  He said although only 75 of the 150 seats were reserved for women, TRS gave tickets to 85 women candidates.  Similarly, the party ensured justice for all other communities, including the upper castes, he said.  He pointed out that TRS gave 17 seats to minorities, 13 to SCs and three to STs.  “To allay the fears of people who have settled in Hyderabad, the TRS has given tickets to eight such candidates from other countries,” he added.
