CM KCR announce to set up Islamic Centre in Hyderabad

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday decided to set up an Islamic Centre-cum-Convention hall with an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore in Hyderabad. Rao directed the officials to prepare designs for the proposed Centre which will come up in six acres of land in Manikonda.

The Chief Minister also decided to construct an orphanage for Muslims at a cost of Rs 21 crore at Anees-ul-Gubba in Nampally, here and signed a file in this regard on Saturday. The government had already allotted a prime land of 4,000 yards for the orphanage.KCR urges PM to conduct NEET in Urdu

Minister, who had directed the officials concerned to begin the process for giving 12 per cent reservations to poor Muslims in the state, on Saturday wrote a letter to PM Modi urging him to take steps for conducting National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in Urdu medium.“There are thousands of students who are studying in Urdu medium in the country and for their benefit NEET should be conducted in Urdu medium,” Rao requested the PM in his letter.

The CM further said Urdu is the second official language in Telangana and as a result many students study in Urdu medium.
