Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Releases Telangana Electoral Roll

The Election Commission on Monday released the draft electoral rolls to enable people to check their names in the voter ID list.

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudarshan Reddy released the draft voter list for Telangana as part of the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral roll, after which the Election Commission of India (ECI) will start issuing notices to certain categories.

The notices for voters



with anomalies, printed with the elector’s details will be sent from ECI's office. 

Voters who fail to find their names in the draft list can file claims to reclaim their votes. 

The disposal of claims and objections also starts on Monday, and will continue for an additional month and conclude on October 15. 

Tribunals will also be set up in case of unresolved disputes like deletion of vote following the EROs decision. The final electoral roll will be published on October 19.
