Chakali Ilamma’s Struggle an Inspiration, says CM Revanth

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid rich tributes to Chakali Ilamma, who fought for land, livelihood and freedom from bonded labour and stood up against the rule of landlords. 

In a message shared on X, Revanth Reddy said Ilamma had left an indelible mark on the history of



Telangana. 

He said she fearlessly fought for the rights of oppressed sections and raised her voice for livelihood and self-respect.

The Chief Minister recalled Ilamma’s fight against social discrimination, exploitation and oppression, saying her struggle continues to serve as an inspiration in the history of the Telangana people’s movement.
