Ceiling collapse at Lake Shore Mall in Kukatpally, 3 injured

At least three people were injured after a false ceiling collapsed at a shopping mall in Kukatpally on Sunday evening, triggering panic among visitors.

The incident occurred at Lake Shore Mall near Y Junction when indoor ceiling boards suddenly gave way and crashed onto the floor.

The unexpected collapse caused commotion inside the mall, prompting shoppers to rush



out of the premises.

Security personnel immediately shifted the injured persons to nearby hospitals for treatment.

As it was a Sunday, the mall was crowded when the ceiling boards fell.

Disaster Response Force (DRF) personnel later reached the spot and cleared the debris. Authorities are ascertaining the cause of the collapse.
