Hyderabad HC on Wednesday granted relief to to TTDP MLA A Revanth Reddy in cash-for-vote scam by giving exemption from his appearance before the investigation officer  of ACB every Monday. The court, however, made it clear that Revanth should appear before the officer whenever the ACB asks for. Justice Suresh Kumar Kait was allowing a petition filed by Revanth seeking to relax condition of appearing before ACB IO.
Petitioner’s counsel K Ravinder Kumar told the court that the investigation against his client

was already completed and ACB has also filed chargesheet against the petitioner in the special court. The petitioner is abiding by all the conditions imposed by the HC while granting the bail. There was no point for the petitioner to appear before the IO every Monday, he contended.
ACB counsel V Ravikiran Rao urged the court to order that the petitioner has to appear before the IO as and when his presence is required as the investigation with regard to other accused in the case is still pending.
