Candidate distributes fake gold coins to lure voters in Sircilla

An independent candidate allegedly deceived voters by distributing fake gold coins.

The independent aspirant, who contested from the 25th ward of Sircilla municipality, reportedly handed out fake gold coins to voters, presenting them as



genuine gold. Voters who accepted the coins were reportedly disappointed after discovering that they were fake and expressed anger at the candidate, sources said.

On learning about the incident, election authorities reportedly initiated an inquiry.
