Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will chair the State Cabinet meeting on June 18. He will also chair the TRS State executive committee meeting on June 19. The State Cabinet is meeting after a long gap due to the model code of conduct during the Lok Sabha elections. It is likely to take decisions pertaining to the new Municipal Act and the Andhra Pradesh government handing over its buildings in Hyderabad to Telangana State.

The Cabinet is expected to approve the orders to enhance dearness allowances to State government employees as well as an ordinance brought in the wake of the Parishad elections to elect the Zilla Parishad chairpersons and vice-chairpersons before the oath-taking ceremony of the members. Various other pending issues are also slated to be discussed.

On June 19, the TRS executive committee will meet at Telangana Bhavan to discuss the results of the Lok Sabha polls and the Parishad elections. Sources said that the meeting will deliberate on the party’s future action plan including preparations for the upcoming municipal elections, construction of the new party offices in the districts, membership drive and other issues.
