Bypolls for Huzurabad constituency announced

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday released the schedule for Huzurabad Assembly by-elections. While the polling will be held on October 30, results will be announced on November 2.

While the gazette notification will be released on October 1, the last date for nominations will be October 8. The scrutiny of nominations will be October 11 and last



date for withdrawal of candidatures is October 13.

The bypoll were necessitated after former Minister Eatala Rajender quit TRS following allegations of land encroachment. Later, he joined BJP and would contest the bypoll from BJP. TRS has fielded the party’s student wing president Gellu Srinivas Yadav.
