Unidentified assailants broke into a house in Rajendranagar on Wednesday and fled with gold ornaments and cash while the family was away, police said.

The burglary occurred at the residence of Swapna in Krishnanagar Colony. Swapna had left home to celebrate her son’s birthday at a relative’s house. Upon returning that



night, the family found the house ransacked and 21 tolas of gold ornaments and Rs 1 lakh in cash missing.

Swapna reported the theft to Rajendranagar Police, who have registered a case and launched an investigation. Officials said they are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting door‑to‑door inquiries to trace the culprits.
