BRSV leaders arrested for protesting against Rs.100-crore KGBV bunker bed scam

Tension prevailed on Thursday after BRS student wing (BRSV) president Gellu Srinivas Yadav and several activists protested outside the School Education Director’s office in Hyderabad, demanding action in the alleged Rs 100 crore scam in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) tenders. The protesters were taken into custody and shifted to Gandhi



Nagar police station.

Speaking on the occasion, Gellu Srinivas and BRSV state vice-president Thunga Balu accused the Congress government of running a corrupt regime since coming to power. They said preliminary information indicated large-scale irregularities in the procurement of bunker beds and other essentials for KGBVs.
