The BRS is all set to convene a meeting of all political parties and people’s organisations, opposing the Congress government’s alleged attempts to undermine and erase the identity of Secunderabad.
In the meeting scheduled to be held at Le Palais Gardens on January 11, the party plans to launch a united fight for a separate Secunderabad Municipal
Corporation.
Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, BRS deputy floor leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav accused the Congress government was attempting to undermine and erase the 220-year-old history of Secunderabad by arbitrarily restructuring civic divisions.
He said the division of wards was done haphazardly by officials sitting in offices, without consulting residents or respecting the city’s historic character.
