Protesting against what it termed as “unscientific division of Greater Hyderabad”, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has decided to stage demonstrations at Secunderabad Railway station and other areas on January 17. “If any parties are willing to join the protests, we will stage demonstrations jointly,” BRS Deputy Floor Leader T Srinivas Yadav said at a press conference here on
Saturday.
The Greater Hyderabad division was being done unscientifically. There were 24 Assembly constituencies in the Greater Hyderabad limits and the government had not taken the suggestions and recommendations of MLAs from the region, he said. “Leave aside, common people, even Congress leaders lacked basic knowledge on the division and ward delimitations,” the Sanathnagar MLA charged.
