BRS sweeps Patancheru municipal elections, bagging all chairperson posts

The BRS swept the Patancheru constituency, bagging all the chairperson posts in five municipalities.

It was the only constituency after Gajwel, represented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, where the BRS swept all municipalities in the State. 

Though it secured a majority of wards in



five municipalities in Patancheru, it fell short of the majority mark in three municipalities.

Under the guidance of former Minister T Harish Rao, Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy and constituency coordinator V Adharsh Reddy, the party garnered the support of independents and other parties and won all five municipalities.
