BRS stages protest with empty urea bags at Gun Park

Ahead of the Assembly session, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a protest at the Amaraveerula Stupam in Gun Park on Friday, highlighting the acute shortage of urea across Telangana. Party leaders and workers displayed empty urea bags as a symbolic protest, raising slogans against the Congress government.

Congress government which cannot supply fertiliser to farmers should resign immediately, BRS leaders accused the State of failing farmers during the festive season. 

They said farmers were being forced to stand in long queues even on Ganesh Chaturthi, many of them drenched in rain, in their desperate attempt to procure urea.
