BRS slams Telangana Congress govt over caste discrimination in Gurukuls

BRS leader and retired IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar launched a scathing attack on the Congress government for allegedly promoting caste discrimination in social welfare hostels.

He lashed out at IAS officer Alugu Varshini for her reported remarks suggesting that students from poor families should clean toilets and cook their meals in hostels, claiming it would “build good



habits”.

Condemning her comments, he said no officer would make such derogatory and irresponsible statement without the Chief Minister’s backing. “Revanth Reddy garu, your officer is openly saying Dalit children should clean toilets because they don’t come from rich families. If this is such a noble reform, implement it in corporate schools where your children go,” he said.
