BRS slams police inaction over alleged attack by Jagga Reddy

BRS general secretary RS Praveen Kumar on Wednesday criticised the Telangana Police for allegedly failing to act against former Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy over his reported misconduct with police personnel.

He demanded the immediate arrest of Jagga Reddy and also appreciation for police personnel who stood firm in the face of alleged provocation.

In a statement,



Praveen Kumar said Jagga Reddy had abused and attempted to attack police officials, including Circle Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors and home guards, while performing their polling duty. 

He questioned why no criminal case had been registered against the former MLA under relevant provisions, including Section 353 IPC (now 121 BNS) and Section 270 BNS, despite the seriousness of the allegations.
