BRS general secretary RS Praveen Kumar demanded that the Election Commission of India register a case against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy following allegations that he was enrolled as a voter in two Assembly constituencies, violating provisions of the Representation of the People Act.

He sought stringent action, including cancellation of Revanth Reddy’s election from Kodangal, if the allegation was

established.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, Praveen Kumar cited a media report claiming that Revanth Reddy’s name appeared in the electoral rolls of both Kodangal constituency and Kondareddypalli in Achampet constituency.

Referring to Sections 17 and 18 of the Representation of the People Act, he said a person cannot be enrolled as a voter in more than one constituency and cannot have more than one vote.
