BRS MLAs here have questioned the government’s inability to get the Rs.1 crore sanctioned to the kin of the Sigachi blast victims.

Sangareddy MLA Chintha Prabhakar, Zaheerabad MLA K Manik Rao and other BRS leaders presented a representation to Collector P Pravinya and Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj, seeking immediate release of the remaining ex-gratia on

Monday.

In their complaint, the BRS MLAs said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had promised Rs.1 crore as ex-gratia to the kin of the blast victims.

However, the management had given just Rs.25 lakh each even five months after the incident. While the State government provided Rs.1 lakh so far, the kin could not get the Rs.2 lakh ex-gratia announced by the Centre, Chintha Prabhakar said.
