Several senior BRS leaders expressed deep shock and grief over the tragic fire accident at Gulzar Houz near Charminar that claimed 17 lives.

Former Minister and senior MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav visited the accident site and inquired with the officials about the incident. He extended condolences to the bereaved families and urged the government to provide better medical care to the injured.

Former Minister and senior MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy also conveyed condolences and pointed to lapses in the response system. Citing victims’ claims that lives could have been



saved with a timely response, he urged a review of emergency preparedness and emphasised the need for increased alertness during summer.

Former Minister S Niranjan Reddy termed the incident deeply saddening and demanded that the government pay ex gratia of Rs 25 lakh each to the families of the deceased and cover all medical expenses for the injured.

Former MP B Vinod Kumar called for an increased financial support and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He stressed that the government must act swiftly and ensure justice and support for the victims’ families.
