A BRS delegation led by former Minister and senior MLA T Harish Rao met Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudharshan Reddy on Monday and submitted a complaint pointing out that the ruling Congress was brazenly violating election norms to influence the Jubilee Hills bypoll.

They reiterated their demand for urgent deployment of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) to ensure fair and free

elections.

Speaking to reporters after submitting a representation to the CEO at BRK Bhavan, Harish Rao said the Congress was distributing over one lakh sarees, mixer grinders, liquor and cash among others across the constituency to induce voters.

He charged that several officials deployed on election duty, were misusing their power and acting as the Congress agents.
