BRS leaders block road near Gajwel over urea shortage

BRS leaders staged a massive rasta roko on Rajiv Rahadhari at Rimmanaguda near Gajwel on Saturday, protesting against the government’s apathy in ensuring urea supply.

The protest was spearheaded by BRS constituency in-charge Vanteru Prathapa Reddy. Traffic came to a standstill on both sides of the



highway for several hours as farmers raised slogans against the Congress government, accusing it of ignoring their plight.

The protesters demanded restoration of the Gajwel rake point to enable fertiliser transportation by train from different parts of the country, thereby addressing the shortage in Telangana.
