The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Monday launched a two-day Statewide agitation across Telangana, protesting against the Congress government’s alleged conspiracy to undermine the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) and target former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao politically.
As part of the agitation, the party has planned dharnas, road blockades,
bike rallies and other forms of protest in mandal and district headquarters on Monday and Tuesday.
In a teleconference with party leaders, BRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was colluding with the BJP to permanently shut down the Kaleshwaram project, which is Telangana’s lifeline, and divert river waters to Andhra Pradesh.
