BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao left his Erravelli residence on Sunday morning to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for examination in the alleged phone-tapping case, at his Nandi Nagar residdence in Hyderabad. He is expected to reach around 1 pm, while the SIT examination is scheduled at 3
pm.
The visit turned into a major show of strength, with party leaders, activists and supporters gathering in large numbers en route, to express solidarity.
Before his departure, senior BRS leader Jahangir Mohammed tied an Imam-e-Zamin, a traditional protective amulet on Chandrashekhar Rao, in a symbol of support and well-wishes.
