BRS demands probe into allotment of Rs 200 crore land to Revanth Reddy’s brother’s company

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has accused the Congress government of misuse of public office to extend undue benefit to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s brother Anumula Kondal Reddy by allotting prime government land to the latter’s company Tesseract Advanced Systems Private Limited. Pointing out that around five acres of government land worth about Rs 200 crore was allotted to Tesseract for just Rs 7 crore, he questioned the basis for the concession.

He termed the allotment as the latest in a series of alleged instances of government contracts and land being extended to members of the Chief Minister’s family and their associates. The BRS will soon approach the Governor and the Lokayukta seeking a probe into the alleged irregularities, and also pursue all available legal and constitutional remedies.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, Rama Rao said the allotment of prime land was made to Tesseract, which had no employees as per its own disclosure as on March 31, 2025. He questioned how a company with a stated capital of only Rs 1 lakh could qualify for such a valuable land allotment.

“The company’s



listed address is a small house in Patancheru and as per its website, the contact number is 123456789. Except for Kondal Reddy being its chairman, the company’s credentials and operations are seriously questionable,” he said, citing Kondal Reddy’s social media profiles confirming his role as chairman of the company and the US Consulate also referring to him in that capacity in its social media posts.

The BRS working president said Tesseract claims to be engaged in manufacturing aerospace and defence equipment and had held a meeting with a US Embassy representative in Hyderabad. Kondal Reddy, whose educational qualification is questionable, was also made a member of the executive board of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, he said.Politics

Rama Rao drew a parallel with Karnataka, where allegations over land allotted to the wife of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led to a Lokayukta inquiry and eventually his resignation. He asked why different standards should apply in Telangana. “Public land worth Rs 200 crore was given away for Rs 7 crore. Is this not a scam?” he asked, demanding that the entire Tesseract transaction be investigated.
