BRS corporators demand apology from GHMC Mayor Vijayalakshmi

Corporators belonging to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Wednesday demanded an unconditional apology from the GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi for what they called abusive language used by her targeting the BRS members and warned of “serious consequences” if she failed to mend her ways.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, BRS corporators Suneetha and Dedeepya Rao alleged that the Mayor had attempted physical



assault during the recent council meeting and behaved with some of the members with vengeance. 

They complained that when the Mayor was abusing them, microphones were switched off, but BRS members were denied the microphone even when they spoke politely. 

An attempt was made to physically attack Suneetha. “You won and became Mayor only on a BRS ticket, don’t forget that, ” they said.
