The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Tuesday condemned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks against BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao, stating that the comments were likely to influence the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the alleged phone-tapping case.

“BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao is undoubtedly the architect of Telangana. He fought for a separate State, achieved it, and will remain eternal in

the hearts of the people,” Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council S Madhusudhana Chary said.

Addressing a press conference here, Chary said Chandrashekhar Rao had resigned from several positions and founded a political party solely for the Telangana cause. Questioning the Chief Minister’s role in the Statehood movement, he said Revanth Reddy neither participated in nor contributed to the Telangana agitation.
