Condemning action of police at Telangana Legislative Assembly, BRS cadres staged protests across erstwhile Adilabad district on Monday.

In Adilabad, former minister Jogu Ramanna along with the cadres staged a rasta-roko criticizing the police for preventing BRS MLAs from entering the Assembly and misbehaving with women legislators of the party.

He slammed the Congress for using the police to suppress the voice of the Opposition. He said

that police stopped the legislators as per oral instructions.

Ramanna termed the police action as a black day in the history of the Assembly. He stated that electors would teach a lesson to the Congress for adopting anti-public policies.

He demanded it to strive hard for fulfilling poll promises instead of indulging in diversion of attention from its failures. He was detained for staging the protest. He was shifted to a nearby police station.
