The main opposition BRS moved a privilege motion against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of misleading the Telangana Assembly and providing false information during discussions on Krishna River water sharing and irrigation projects.
On Monday, BRS Assembly Whip KP Vivekananda, along with MLAs Kova Laxmi, Vijayudu and Anil Jadhav, submitted a formal complaint to Assembly Secretary Tirupati, seeking action against the Chief
Minister for allegedly violating the privileges of the House.
Addressing the media at the Assembly Media Point premises, Vivekananda charged that the Congress government was built on lies and was running the administration by deceiving the people.
He said Revanth Reddy made false statements on record, including during a presentation in the House, and misrepresented the deliberations held in the Apex Council on Krishna waters.
