In what is called a brief relief from scorching heat,  some localities in twin cities received  rains and  clouds were  seen in the  sky. Though the people are caught in the grip of heat waves that are likely to hit for another three days,  the brief spell of rain gave them a sort of respite.

Rainfall was  also recorded at Saidabad, Champapet, Mallapur, Boduppal, ECIL, Kapra and other places. Even as the people, wrapping themselves with handkerchiefs and small shawls around their faces and heads, prefer to remain indoors and abstained from making it to the streets,  the sudden showers gave a sort of reprieve for a while. At some places people saw thunderbolts.  The temperature in the  city recorded  42 to 43 degrees Celsius these days forcing the people to  confine to their homes.
