An eleven-year-old boy from Nirmal district died after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of a building at Gowthaminagar in Mancherial on Monday.

Police said the boy, Balasankula Saharsh, son of government teacher Rajashekhar and Shruthi of Khanapur town, sustained critical injuries when he fell while

playing with friends. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Saharsh was standing on a plastic sheet placed between two buildings when it gave way, leading to his fall. He had come to Mancherial to attend his uncle’s wedding held on October 31.
