Bonalu Reflects Telangana’s Unique Culture: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Sunday greeted the people on Bonalu. In a statement, the Governor said that the Bonalu festival was a reflection of Telangana’s unique culture, diversified living and divinely worshipping of Goddess Yellamma (Mahankali Matha). "I pray to Goddess Yellamma on this auspicious occasion of Bonalu for bestowing health, well-being, peace and development on all the people of India and Telangana,"



the Governor said. 

Governor Varma also participated in the Bonalu celebrations organised by Haryana former governor Bandaru Dattatreya at his residence in Ramnagar. Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajendar, former ministers Marri Shashidhar Reddy and C. Krishna Yadav and others participated in the celebrations.
