An emergency was reportedly declared at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, after authorities received a bomb threat linked to British Airways flight BA 277 arriving from London here on Friday early hours.

According to reports, the threat alert was issued around 5 am, prompting immediate activation of emergency response protocols. The flight, which was



scheduled to land at 5.30 am, touched down safely before time, with 167 passengers, including two infants, along with two pilots and eight cabin crew members.

The aircraft was immediately moved to an isolated bay, where bomb disposal teams, security agencies, and airport police began thorough checks. Passengers were safely evacuated and escorted to the terminal.
