The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), received another threatening email, claiming that a bomb had been planted on a flight bound for the United States on Tuesday.
According to reports, the sender warned that the explosive would be detonated unless one million dollars was paid. The message triggered immediate alarm among airport
authorities.
Security personnel from CISF and airport security units swung into action, launching intensive checks across the terminal, cargo zones, parking areas, and all aircraft scheduled for international departures.
Passengers were subjected to additional security screening as part of the precautionary measures.
