The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strengthened its position in the Telangana municipal elections by winning a significant number of seats, said G. Ramchander Rao, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit.
Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Ramchander Rao
stated that the BJP has so far won 250 wards in the municipal polls and is emerging as the single largest party in six municipalities.
He expressed confidence that the party is set to take control of the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation and Nizamabad Municipal Corporation.
