BJP faces setback as Shamshabad cadre joins BRS

In a setback to the BJP in Shamshabad Municipality, senior leader Kolanu Pradeep Reddy and his followers resigned from the party and joined the BRS on Tuesday. The formal induction took place at Telangana Bhavan in the presence of BRS working president KT Rama Rao, who welcomed Pradeep Reddy into the party fold with a



pink scarf. BRS leader Pattolla Karthik Reddy was also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao said Pradeep Reddy’s strong public goodwill and support in Shamshabad would strengthen the party’s base. Along with Pradeep Reddy, a large number of his supporters also joined the BRS.
