Telangana BJP leaders here on Tuesday lodged a complaint to the Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan stating that the ruling party leaders attacked the State party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar during his visit to paddy procurement centres in Nalgonda district on Monday.

A delegation led by three BJP MLAs – Eatala Rajender, M Raghunandan Rao and T Raja Singh along with other senior leaders met the Governor and submitted a memorandum complaining against the ruling party leaders.

The BJP leaders also brought to the notice of the Governor the alleged indifferent attitude of the police towards the BJP leaders including former Minister DK

Aruna and activists in Nalgonda district during Sanjay’s visit.

The delegation also informed the Governor about the problems being faced by farmers for the delay in procuring paddy from them.

Sanjay is on a two-day visit to Nalgonda and Suryapet districts from Monday to know the problems being faced by farmers at the procurement centres. He faced the wrath of the ruling party leaders when he went to Shettipalem near Miryalguda and other centres.

Speaking to media persons, Aruna demanded that the State government come to the rescue of farmers and purchase paddy from them.
