The CID (Crime Investigation Department) has issued an alert today saying that schemes promising huge returns may be dubious. ‘Be careful before investing in such schemes’, it added.
It may be apt to point out in this context that unscrupulous elements are adopting various fraudulent methods to cheat gullible people and make easy money. So, if someone sends you a message on the mobile or sends
a pamphlet offering to pay double the amount you invest within a month or so, be cautious about the genuineness of such offers. One should know that no one could afford to pay huge returns on your investments, and hence it is not desirable to fall a prey to such lucrative offers in any manner.
Another type of cheating is by sending a message saying ‘My heart beats for You. To know who I am, call me on Phone No…. No one knows what sort of untoward things might happen if you respond to such messages and give your details. Beware of frauds, and cheats are adopting various methods to deceive people.
