Two days after the immersion of Khairatabad Ganesh idol, the iron barricading set up to streamline the queues for devotees remain on the busy road stretch and cause obstructions for road users.

Police are yet remove these barricades resulting in traffic congestion and inconvenience for scores of commuters.

The barricades erected to manage queue lines by the police at Khairatabad Metro Station have not been removed. A separate queue line formed between



Khairatabad Metro Station, ICICI Bank, and up to the railway level crossing.

Two days before the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, the police have installed barricades at Khairatabad junction, one of the busiest junctions in the city, to regulate queue lines and manage heavy crowds.

Many commuters expressed frustration as the barricades continued to block a major part of the main road, leading to traffic congestion and delays during peak hours between 8 am and 11 am.
