Heavy thunderstorms on Monday evening led to a record-breaking downpour, with several areas in Hyderabad recording over 100 mm of rainfall. By 6 pm, the highest rainfall of 124 mm was recorded at Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills under Shaikpet mandal, followed by Mahedevpuram in Gajularamaram under Quthbullapur, Medchal-Malkajgiri district, which received 121.8 mm.

Yousufguda under Khairatabad mandal reported 116 mm, Srinagar Colony received 105.8 mm, while CESS in Khairatabad recorded 99 mm. Areas around



Basthi Dawakhana in Kukatpally saw 97.5 mm, and Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Kukatpally received 94.8 mm. Maitrivanam in Ameerpet reported 92.3 mm.

Other high-rainfall areas included Ganaanka Bhavan in Khairatabad (89.3 mm) and ESS in Balanagar (83.8 mm).

Trees were uprooted in two locations, leading to disruptions. Traffic jams were reported on several flyovers including the Telugu Talli Flyover near the Secretariat, Khairatabad, Punjagutta, Begumpet, Paradise Circle, and other parts of the city.
