The State Election Commission (SEC) has ordered an inquiry after ballot papers belonging to Chinnakaparti village panchayat in Chityala mandal of Nalgonda district were found dumped in a drainage canal, triggering widespread outrage.
The ballot papers, reportedly marked
with the “Scissors” symbol, were seen in a drain, raising serious concerns over the safety and handling of election material.
Following the incident, leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) lodged complaints with election authorities and the police.
