B Tech final-year student ends life in Warnagal

An engineering student died, allegedly by suicide, in the district late on Monday.

The student, Vamsi Varma, was studying B Tech final year at Vaagdevi Engineering College in Bollikunta in the city. 

He was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his rented room at Mamnoor. He



hailed from Peddapalli district.

He had reportedly gone home for the New Year celebrations and returned to college two days ago. The local police booked a case in connection with the incident and are investigating. 

The reasons behind his extreme step were not known immediately.
