Auto Driver Duped of Rs. 17k Through Distraction Tactic in Adilabad

A 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing an auto-rickshaw driver’s mobile phone and transferring Rs. 17,000 from his account to another account using PhonePe through a distraction technique. 

According to police, the accused was identified as Rathod Yuvaraj. Following a



complaint from the victim, Two Town Police launched an investigation. 

Police arrested him and recovered Rs. 10,000 and a mobile phone from his possession. Further investigation is underway to ascertain whether the accused was involved in any similar offences. Further details are awaited.
