Asifabad Farmerr Ends Life after seeing crop damage 'Cyclone Montha'

A farmer died by suicide as he was reportedly depressed after his crops were damaged by recent Cyclone Montha at Seetharamnaik Thanda in Lingapur mandal, on Friday.

Locals and family members said that Jadav Baliram (59) attempted to die by consuming pesticide as he was disheartened when his cotton



and maize crop were affected by the cyclone on Wednesday. 

He was immediately shifted to a hospital in Utnoor mandal centre. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Based on a complaint received from Baliram’s family members, a case was registered.
