ASI dies after being run over by police vehicle in Sangareddy

Controversy erupted over the death of a police officer, who was run over by a police vehicle driven by a home guard on the premises of Manoor police station on Monday night.

The deceased officer Govinda Nayak, who is an Assistant Sub-Inspector workingin the same police station was hit by a police vehicle driven by home guard Rama Rao. Nayak sustained



serious injured in the incident and died while undergroing treatment at a hospital in Narayankhed.

Copntroversry erupted after the police officers’s family members accused the home guard of intentionally running over Govind Nayak. They termed it as murder. Rama Rao fled from the scene after the incident. The police registered a case and the probe was on.
