Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri has requested Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to enhance the land allotment for the proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jagtial from the recently approved 5 acres to 10 acres.

In a letter dated July 3, 2026, the MP acknowledged the state Cabinet’s decision on July 2 to allot 5 acres of land at Chelgal village for the school.

However, he pointed out that while 5 acres meets the minimum requirement

as per Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan norms, the optimum land requirement for non-metro areas is 10 acres.

Referring to his earlier communication dated May 19, 2026, Arvind reiterated that a larger land parcel is essential to ensure adequate infrastructure, including classrooms, playgrounds, laboratories, and scope for future expansion. He emphasized that students in Jagtial district deserve facilities beyond the bare minimum to support holistic development.
