Arvind Kumar tells HGCL to translocate trees scientifically

MA&UD Principal Secretary, Arvind Kumar asked the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) to check whether translocation of trees was being taken up scientifically along the ORR.

On Sunday, a Twitter user brought to the notice of Arvind Kumar that trees along ORR were making way for a pipeline by HPCL near Ghatkesar. “Is this how trees are translocated” questioned

Kumar responded by saying that was not the way for translocation when permission to these companies was given to use the right of way. “Will take it up immediately,” he tweeted. HGCL in a tweet said that the engineering and urban forestry team will coordinate and make sure that trees are translocated scientifically.
