Nizamabad: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) from Nizamabad stirred a row with his inciting comments against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday.

The BJP MP Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind Kumar said he will “hang Hyderabad MP Owaisi upside down from a crane and shave off his beard” and stick it to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

“I warn you (Asaduddin Owaisi) that I will hang you upside down to a crane and shave your beard. I will give promotion to your beard by sticking it to the Chief Minister (KCR),” said Kumar for the latter’s stand on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019.

The BJP MP made the inflammatory comments while addressing a rally in his constituency Nizamabad.

“Owaisi you should remember that Nizamabad belongs to the BJP. Nine years ago, your own brother (Akbaruddin) was stabbed 50 times and shot 20 times by a person well-known to them. Your brother is still availing treatment for that after nine years,” Kumar was quoted by the news agency as saying.

Kumar’s hateful comments come a week after the AIMIM chief held a meeting in Nizamabad against the National Register of Citizens (NRC) calling them unconstitutional.

Owaisi on December 25 also led a delegation to Telangana CM Rao and discussed the CAA and NRC. K Chandrashekar Rao’s party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) had voted against the CAA in Parliament.

“KCR has turned into a Mullah. He is Mullah in the disguise of Chief Minister. His son is an atheist. What will they know about Hindu Dharma? And these people are talking about secularism,” the BJP MP reportedly said.
